From the Mercator-Hondius Newer Atlas, published by Johannes Janssonius in 1636. By the time the completed English County atlas appeared in 1646 this plate had been re-engraved, with a new title in place of this vignette and armorials (in imitation of the new style introduced by his arch-rival Blaeu) over the old title.
